That's something that's so hard to say. "Puppy Cut" isn't just one specific haircut. Some like longer puppycuts, some like shorter puppy cuts, some like shorter on body and longer on legs...so you just have to be very specific with your groomer when asking for that cut. I typically keep Bouncer in a modified Schnauzer cut where his back is taken down short, his skirt is left and his legs are left and his head is left so I can still put it up. I trim his beard to make it even out. I'll have to try and find a pic of him from last summer. This past summer I kept him in a #5 puppy cut since we stayed at the beach alot while visiting my boyfriend's parents numerous times. Right now I am growing him out longer though so he has more to keep him warm.
A lot of it depends also on how often you're willing to brush your baby. Especially since Bouncer is wearing sweaters and jackets a lot now. I have to brush AND comb him every morning, every night...and sometimes I give him a mid-day workover (and he's not even that long yet!). Now that I've written you a novel. haha Just think about how often you want to work on that hair and how much work you're willing to put into it and that'll help you decide what cut is right for you.
