Another option would be to use satin creme through his coat then put a t-shirt on him. A t-shirt is going to make him tangle. Hmm maybe it would be a good idea to put T-shirts on him. The little tangles I don't mind at all, it is those horrible sand spur matts I abhor.
He likes to be outside. We have a doggie door and the dogs can come and go into the yard as they like. (I close it down around 10pm so they are not going to be going outside when we are in bed).
Beamer thinks he is a guard dog, and he has to be in the yard close to the fence so he can warn us when someone has the nerve to walk down the street without his permission

or when our neighbour decided to work in her yard, he thinks we need to know she is outside
