It was clean and neat and the woman suggested I take several puppies in the outdoor area and play with them to see which I felt most comfortable with. Maybe they are not an actual breeder but I was more comfortable buying there than in a pet store where the prices are outrageous. The pups are not in cages, they are allowed to run through the entire area. I was most impressed and would buy from them again if I would desire another pup. We absolutely love our Yorkie/Bichon. I can not imagine our life without him. My granddaughter and her mother went with us to pick him out and next week they are planning to go to Horning Farm to by a Westie!! By the way, I don't think these people are Amish, I believe they may be Mennonite, but I really don't care, as far as I am concerned they were wonderful people who truely care about the pups in their care!! |
Isn't that just wonderful you are so happy

. By your actions you have just ensured that the parents (and other dogs) of your puppy will continue their lives in puppy producing hell! Now, don't you feel even better about your purchase from what is either a puppymill or broker?
Either one Amish or Mennonite, both are known for the heartless, cruel treatment of their animals, whether it's dogs, cows, pigs, it doesn't matter to them - it's all "money in the bank". I know as I have witnessed their actions many times, living in the middle of an Amish/Mennonite community.
But you go ahead with the future purchase of another puppy from them. Hope your conscience will allow you to sleep at night, knowing your responsible for other dogs continued suffering.
Sometime just for your education, you should attend an Amish/Mennonite breeders auction. There you can see the true environment your little Bichon/yorkie mix and your daughter's future Westie lived in and where you are condemning their parents to spend their lives. Then come back and sing the breeder/brokers praises.
