I bought my Yorkie/Bichon at Hornings Farm in Mifflinburg. I have read posts that it is a puppy mill and others that it is a puppy fam. Whatever the case may be, I was very satisfied with the conditions I saw. The couple were extremely wonderful and knew everything about every puppy there. It was clean and neat and the woman suggested I take several puppies in the outdoor area and play with them to see which I felt most comfortable with. Maybe they are not an actual breeder but I was more comfortable buying there than in a pet store where the prices are outrageous. The pups are not in cages, they are allowed to run through the entire area. I was most impressed and would buy from them again if I would desire another pup. We absolutely love our Yorkie/Bichon. I can not imagine our life without him. My granddaughter and her mother went with us to pick him out and next week they are planning to go to Horning Farm to by a Westie!! By the way, I don't think these people are Amish, I believe they may be Mennonite, but I really don't care, as far as I am concerned they were wonderful people who truely care about the pups in their care!! |
