That's just it....Lucky is 2 yrs old and he was tested for the heartworm back in June! He was clean so I opted out of the meds. I was talking to the breeder that I got him from and she advised me that with the cooler fall and cold winter heartworm isn't at all common here, that's like over vaccinating....She don't do the heartworm meds on any of her dogs! She has other ways of preventing the mosquito biting!
So, I also know that my vet has no intention on testing for heartworm because he said that he wants the visit just so he can document this on Lucky's file. Please don't get me wrong here, I don't mind spending money on my baby but when it's necessary. Wasted money could have been $$ for other things for him!!
