I've read some amazing things about diatomaceous earth after I found it in a search for an organic flea-killer. I tracked down a local supplier and during a visit, I was given a free sample to try of the food-grade diatomaceous earth.
For the fleas, we were supposed to sprinkle the powder on their bodies and in their beds, on the floors, etc. We did and to be honest, we weren't impressed. I really hate the smell. It smells like dirty dog, lol. I still have some and I use it on my plants to keep the snails away, but it doesn't enter the house.
