Everybody deals with grief in their own way. You have to find what works for you and do it. My way is to go into a housecleaning frenzy. You know something bad has happened in my life if my house is really clean.

It makes me crazy when people expect us to deny our grief. We are entitled to all of our feelings - even the sad ones. If you feel like crying, then have yourself a darned good cry and get it out of your system. I try very hard to cry only in private -- I turn bright red, puffy, and become incoherent when I cry. The shower is the best place to cry because you can drown out the noise and cool your face off at the same time.

You've just had a tragedy in your life and it's normal to grieve. So don't apologize for it. I wish I could take away a little of your hurt for you but it just doesn't work that way.
