I would trust a vet over your breeder. Legg perthes is more common but usually on one side but does go on both. Diagnosis is usually before 12 months for Leggs but can be as late as 14 months where HD is any age. But OFA is not done until after age 2 to certify them clear...not to diagnose.
I hope your breeder has spayed and neutered her dogs and informed the owners of any offspring...are the parents OFA certified??
