My Zoey is also shy about being petted and picked up. She wants it when she wants it - not when you do. She doesn't bark at others - she is very friendly but she is afraid of riding in the car. Never had a dog scared of the car ride. We have tried several different ways of making this more comfortable for her. We tried some calming drops from a natural health dog shop but that didn't work. We just keep trying. It is getting better -- slowly. |
