We switched to rope toys hoping that they would loosen and pull the baby teeth loose.
We do brush his teeth altho we don't use toothpaste, I was told that the stuff humans use isn't safe for dogs. We use a colgate battery toothbrush and he does fine with it. I too hope to avoid excessive dental deterioration by doing so.
