Elevated lipase is commonly caused by a problem with the pancreas, but can be from other things as well.
Hopefully the ultrasound will show something and you can get to the root of the problem.
The one thing that I do remember is that sometimes with Cushings there is an elevated lipase and since Cushings is often difficult to diagnose, you might want to speak with the vet about that if the ultrasound does not show something.
I will say that I have had pups with elevated lipase that were perfectly healthy but they usually went down again rather than up.
