I've fostered many dogs, some only overnight til they go to their permanent foster home, others have stayed with me until their forever homes are ready. With the exception of saving abused/neglected children I can think of nothing that would be more rewarding for your soul/spirit than saving a dogs life. And, that is essentially what fostering is doing - saving a dogs life.
Not every one can foster a dog, I understand that but for those that are willing, capable and ready, they will not regret their decision. Each time those soulful dog eyes look up at you, you realize what a monumental thing you have done for this dog........they are forever grateful and let you know it.
