Is she good with grooming, meaning will she stand relatively still? You can take contact lens saline solution, and continually wet the "gunk" until it softens, and you are able to remove it. If you feel uncomfy with that, take her into the vet and have them do it. I put one hand on the muzzle, and gently point muzzle downwards, and the other hand use to pour the saline solution over the "gunk". Maybe work 5-10 minutes a day until you successfully rid her of it.
