Default Bad reaction to immunization

Hey, I took the babies for a vet check and immunizations today. They are 9 weeks old. Within 5 minutes of the injection, one of the babies was drooling a LOT and seemed weak. The vet took her back and gave her some benadryl and something else (forgot what the 2nd was). We waited about 30 minutes to ensure she was improving before leaving.

Now, she will not be getting that brand of injection again, but I'm nervous about getting any further immunizations for her. I'm curious if this is a typical reaction? or if it could be hereditary?? is it likely to happen again to another brand?
