Exactly! I respect breeders information but it is sad how they talk as if a degree is needed to know the info they have! For the need to know info to Bama and the rest who agreed with her post, I chose the vet I chose because my vet bred small breed dogs and golden retrievers and one of those small breed dogs were yorkshire terriers, so yes, I would definitely take the advice of my vet. All breeders are not always right. That is why yes Bama, I do agree with be careful who you ask and take advice from that goes along way. Everyone will continue to have their opinions but regardless of my noviceness of breeding whelping or whatever I take great pride of doing my research thoroughly on all the breeds I adopt before adopting. As I stated, I have 6 dogs, akita mix, Siberian Husky, 2 yorkies(newest to the family) a shorkie and a pomeranian and I love all of my pets and strive to know as much as I need to and more. I couldnt agree with Felicity more there is no degree on breeding so at the end of the day most info is based off "textbook reading" and most on hands on experience and i definitely agree that hands on is the best knowledge to have but please do not knock me down based off my decision because it is an inbreeding whelping and do not under estimate my knowledge either. My main goal coming on YT was to find out what other breeders thought about the information leading to finding out if my female was pregnant not to feel like i was being bashed because her brother and her mated etc. One way or another inbreeding has been done in the yrs and instead of knocking an innocent mistake that was no doing of mine keep in mind that their are other people who inbreed purposely and probably a few on YT themselves do it as well. yes, yes, its been said it is for the experienced breeders who know what they are doing, but again this was not my fault that they mated it was the previous owners fault and I did decide to let her have her litter so how about a few words of encouragement and true breeding/whelping knowledge to help out instead of bashing because that is how i feel from Bama... again thanks to all those who had kind words and great advice and did not make me feel guilty or knock me for letting my Treasure have her litter.
