One time I saw where someone converted a chest of drawers into a small armoire. They just took out the shelves and made or bought (I don't remember now) the doors for it. It was refinished and quite pretty as I recall. It's been a long time ago that I saw this. Just throwing out an idea in case someone is very creative and imaginative!
