Of course I am in a panic. The vet diagnosed her with a LP3 but she has only had 2 known incidents over her lifetime. Well, tonight, apparently she had 2 more. It seems she has fixed it and can walk but it just upsets me so much. I am scared, nervous and sad. I know even if I was there, not much could be done anyways, but why on our 1st day of vacation. I am regretful because I wanted to start them both on Cosequin, but I didn't. I only wonder now if we have entered into the world of no return and this will become a common issue. | Cosequin is not a preventative. It won't stop the progression of things like LP. It's a wonderful supplement - I've given it to Alexander for years and it is has really helped his arthritis stiffness and pain - I'm a big believer in it. But it's more of an aid to help the joints after damage has been done, although it doesn't hurt to give to those with no symptoms. So don't beat yourself up over that. Relax and enjoy your vacation. When you get home, start them on Cosequin.
