Anyway, when I was dating my now husband, he had a sweat and lovable rottweiler (the most gentle thing, truly!) named Dio and my son loved Dio so very much! I had been trying to get him to give up "Puppy" and one day my hubby hid "Puppy" before we went to leave for somewhere. My son started to get upset because "Puppy" was missing and my husband told him "I think Dio had it last. He must have ate him????" Sounds horrible I know but my son marched right up to that Rottweiler and gave him a mad look put his finger up to Dio's nose and said "BAD DIO!". Dio licked Cory and Cory wrapped his arms around him and told him he loved him too. "Puppy" was put into safe keeping and wasn't asked for again.
I hadn't thought about Dio in a long time but this thread reminded me of him and that time. He was our Gentle Giant! We love you Big Guy!!! You are probably up in heaven now wondering how mommy & daddy ended up being little dog people. I have feeling we will be speaking about you over dinner tonight! Miss you baby!!!
