I have an IG puppy, now eleven months old, but still wild as all get out. When Liz, the YT, plays with her there is a ton of growling. If the puppy has a bone, Liz has to have it and when she gets it, the IG commences the chase and Liz, with bone in mouth, growls the whole time she is running. Liz also growls when they play tug and I recently noticed that Trudy has started growling when they tug. So maybe Pippin is play growling like Lizzy does.
