I have pretty much the same situation. I have a 5 yr old female yorkie who is 100% peepad trained - never had an accident since she was about 8 months old. We now have added another little guy to our family - and he is now 9 months old and still pees and poops where he is not suppose to. I know that it is difficult to crate train him when you already have one that is running around freely. I too leave them in the laundry room at night and when we leave the house. I have noticed that he will not pee or poop if the pads are dirty. He needs a clean pad at all times. So when I open the door in the morning - there usually is a mess waiting for me to clean up. When I feed him, I close the door to the laundry room and stay inside with him until he eats and poops, which is pretty good. Its the every once in a while when he tries and goes to the pads and just poops right outside the laundry room area - I don't get it.

I have found that girls are much easier to train and my little guy is not as smart as my little girl. So I continue to gate off the rest of the house and try my best to watch him every chance I get. But at this point, when you expect that you would be done training, it has been getting frustrating.

Well good luck to you (and to me - LOL).
