That's what I thought too but I looked at all the animal clinics in my area and they all say they can spay as early as 12 weeks. I've been trying to find out some more information about whether spaying this early can be harmful for her. Most likely I'll wait it out a little longer because she's so tiny that we're free feeding her right now and I hear that after you spay your dog, you need to limit her meals to twice a day since she gains weight more easily. I would like Princess to be able to eat and gain a little more weight before I feel comfortable limiting her meals to twice a day.
