Do you have an ER vet you can take him to, sounds like he needs to see a new vet if that's what your current one keeps telling you...
NO, it's NOT "normal" for a dog to act the way your's is, I wouldn't wait it out and you shouldn't either, it's been going on too long...Hope the best for you and your puupy
