I also just brought home a 12-week old baby, her name is Scarlett and she is 1.1 lbs! I have a cat and a two-year old yorkie already so we have quite a full house.
I bought a dog collar that can adjust, the smallest one available (I think it said x-small). I personally am not ok with the cat collar with a breakaway because it has give in it. Just the other day, I had Scarlett's too big and her poor little arm was stuck in it. Those cat collars can stretch and if they can get room in the collar they are more capable of getting it caught on something or themselves and hurting themselves pretty badly. Luckily I was there with her, but had I been gone it could have turned out very badly. Just my opinion but get one that fits snug, be able to fit one finger in there and that's it until they get bigger then you can adjust accordingly. Better to be safe than sorry. |
