In the past I've seen posts where dogs have been attacked but I was wondering whether anyone carries (or has used) pepper spray on an aggressive dog.

Yesterday my DH and I were walking Cody and we were passing a woman with a large German Shepherd on a leash. The dog was barking, growling and showing his teeth. The woman was trying to calm him down and he knocked her to the ground. It was all that she could do to hold on to him. My DH asked her if she needed help and she declined. If that dog has gotten loose, my poor baby could have been hurt.

Usually Cody and I walk alone so I'm thinking about getting pepper spray just in case. But I wonder whether it actually works on an aggressive dog.
