I always had it done on day 2, both procedures. I can do it my self but i have the vets do it and use the surgical glue and absorbent stitches for the tails , it is a clean, fast and worry free way to have it done.

My breeder does her pups as soon as mom is done whelping..she says its easier on the babies...and they don't even make a sound.
