I usually use "Always" maxi pads or anything that isn't real thick. That, to me, would make them feel uncomfortable. I get the ones without wings. I've been told you can cut them in half but I'm afraid if I do that and he does potty on his "maxi" pad, since one end is cut it would absorb onto his belly band. So anything thin I put on him wraps around a bit but he doesn't seem to mind.
