Not just "the look", more as I have heard so many horror stories of getting sold a dog that is not even a yorkie, but a mix. Or dogs that were bred badly. I have even found several of those stories on here. I just don't feel like getting jipped.

My son is 4, and I already know some breeders do not like that idea, but if I did not trust my son around a small puppy I would not be looking for one. It is a small fortune to spend on something that my family will not treat right. I welcome breeders into my home. My son has been around baby everything (we live on an 11 acre farm and raise sheep, goats, pigs, calfs...you name it). We have a yorkiepoo and Tristan is wonderful with him.

I don't want to be sold a Chevrolet when I wanted and paid for a Cadillac...as an example I guess.
