Nope, no misunderstanding here. I wasn't saying that YOU in particular were doing that--I was making a general statement. Just because one has multiple dogs in heat at once does not mean they have to breed them all at the same time. It's not "nature." A breeder controls when their females are and aren't bred. They don't leave it up to "nature." Generally speaking, I cannot see the reason for having lots of litters in a short amount of time, unless one's only goal is to produce and sell.
I've had a house full of girls. I know all too well how they pull each other into heat at the same time.
