I'm so glad! I'm guessing they're probably still going to want to figure out what caused it in the first place and fix it. If it is the thyroid and they decide to "kill" it, I'm here to tell you it's very easy to live with a nonfunctioning thyroid. I had half of my thyroid removed nearly 15 years ago due to a tumor and have been on thyroid hormone replacement medication ever since. Other than having my levels checked every few months with periodic adjustments to the dosage, it has been a non-issue in my life. Biggest problem I have is remembering to take the pill every day. I hope it turns out just as simple a solution for your hubby. |
