My maltese was at least 9 when my son was born and he adjusted JUST fine. Often, you could see the three of us out walking. My son in the stroller and Casper on his leash. Yes, at times it took some effort, but I could never have gotten 'rid of' my first baby!
I see folks around here walking their dogs attached to baby strollers all the time. It's not the hardest thing in the world.
Sheesh.
