They said he hasnt been diagnosed regarding his thyroid but his thyroid is overactive which can be a cause of this sudden rhythm change, but they're not certain thats totally it. They started medications but it takes time for them to work. They are bringing in an endocrinologist. I find it odd....maybe something else is causing his thyroid & heart to go out of whack?? He has gastroenteritis and a sore throat too.
They are sending in electrophysiologist today and he may go ahead and decide to shock tomorrow depending on his labs.
His heart rate is better today but still having the arrhythmia. They assurred me his heart looked good and is strong-no abnormalities found. One doctor did mention they were going to check him for lupus and other autoimmune diseases but so far we dont have a diagnosis on anything. I feel better knowing that the EP doctor is going to be running some tests. They assurred me they're keeping a close eye and they'll leave no stone unturned.
