Puppies & Kibble Question? Ok, this is also partially a breeding question... and I'm not a breeder yet. I've been working with my mentor for years and researching everything. I own two sterilized yorkies and will only be getting dogs to co-own in a while (depending on my mentor).
So, I feed my current yorkies raw food and I love it. We order from a local producer who works with a dietician and his diet is completely balanced. My dogs love the food and I don't want to switch them because they are doing so well. I'd also like to raise the puppies on raw food, but I know that this might be a problem for their future owners.
Finally, a 6-star food (Orijen and Acana) is available in SA and I'd like to raise the puppies on that instead of on RC which (until this month) was the best commercial food here.
My question is, can I feed the puppies half raw and half kibble, making the transition to either diet easy for their new owners or should I stick to one of the kibbles? And if so, which one?
