Just a thought.....I see that cruised from Baltimore to the Bahamas is a 7 day cruise. A 7 day cruise is really long, especially being your first cruise. I just briefly looked up Carnival's itinerary Cruise Details Page

Maybe you would want to consider one of two things? The first being - fly to Florida. I just saw a trip on SW that is $85 each way to Ft. Lauderdale in May. You can then take a 3 or 4 day cruise from Florida and save money.

Or, I found a 5 night Royal Caribbean cruise to Bermuda for much cheaper than the Carnival cruise to the Bahamas Cruise Details - Royal Caribbean International
