I have alegator clips on most of their bows, but I'm not crazy about them (neither are they). They seem heavier to me and easier for them to take off. I don't know if we're talking about the same plastic clips, the ones that I like, are human infant bows. They are about 1 inch long and snap together securely. It doesn't pull the hair.
