Ah poor baby! Good that you saw the stinger before it could get broken off. I would go with Benedryl too, if it seems to be bothering him. I have used 1/4 of a 25 mg tablet. I have heard that the liquid type has too much alcohol in it for pets. (Internet reading not from vet). I have also read that only 1 mg per pound of body weight, but I haven't gotten it broken down that far. To be safe, might want to check with vet for his suggested dose.

Walmart sells these little vials and wipes for bee stings. They have a numbing agent in them. They work great for people stings, so I think they would work for the pups too.
