Taking her for a walk around the neighborhood can be an excellent bonding experience, and she'll love you for letting her get out and about to sniff all there is to sniff and to learn about the world outside. Be careful tying her out... someone may steal her.

Get between her and the person and tell her 'No, get back' Move slowly towards her, and as soon as she backs up, reward her. When she learns you are in control of the door, the bad behavior will subside.
