Nothing works, you just need to keep them in their x-pen and walk them for a long time (if they have all there shots) till there tired. It will be over, but make sure you give them a loud NO or use a can with pennies to get their attention. If you laugh it off they will think it's ok.
I just remember I bought an motorised rat at walmart to keep them busy.
