I think as others have posted, she should have if not already been done recently have a full health work up done; blood tests, bile acid, thyroid and heart. And if this girl is really 3.5 pounds shame on you for breeding her.

After five breedings, don't you think nature is trying to tell you something? I would have had my bitch into the vets after the second failed attempt.

Two years ago she had pups, you bred her 5 times? That is your bitch came in heat 5 times in two years? Every five months? 2 Heats a year ummm

Spay her and do all the health tests as there maybe an underlying health problem with her.
