Without more info, it's hard to know exactly what's going on. It's normal for dogs to growl at each other occasionally; it's how they communicate. It would especially be normal for an older dog to correct a puppy in this manner. But, like I said, without seeing it, it's hard to know if there is more going on than that or not.

As has been said, you need to supervise them when they're together. I wouldn't leave them alone together until you are 100% sure that they can be trusted.
