when you mention the 'remodeling'. I think it was last year (if not more) that I heard or read that Walmart was trying to get out of catering to the 'low income' consumer and would be trying to cater to the higher income bracket. This was at the time that Walmart begun to cut their 'layaway plan', if I'm not mistaking.

As a marketer, I know it will be tough if not impossible to go from a budget servitor to a more affluent one
Now I wonder what happened to those plans?
