Default MD YTCA Breeder Check

So I finally followed YT members' advice and contacted a number of breeders on the YTCA referral list. I've talked to 2 so far:

Cheryl Lidie in Darnestown, MD and Heiddy Tucker in Dundalk, MD

Does anyone have any experience with either of them?

Well, based on my phone conversations with them, the 2 women couldn't have been more different. Cheryl was very talkative (I could hardly get a word in). She said that she has 2 pups that will be ready in Nov but she also had an 8 month old who she wanted to show but got too big. That was the one that she thought would be better for me because I said that I wanted a calm lapdog.

There were 2 things that I was a bit concerned/confused about:

1. She told me that she puts her dogs in diapers and kept telling me what a wonderful and convenient way it is to prevent accidents. Is that a common practice?

2. She said that her husband and her work full-time so that the dogs are alone during the day (which is why she uses the diapers). Is it common for show breeders to work outside their home most of the time? Does that have an affect on the dogs' socialization?

Heiddy Tucker was polite but not extremely talkative. I just asked her some pertinent questions and asked her to keep me updated on the litter that she's expecting.

Anyway, I would appreciate any advice that you guys may have, esp if you've had some personal experience with these breeders. Thanks!
