I don't think anyone can really tell...it is what it is. My second Yorkie at 3 months was over the "average" 3 month old Yorkie weight, "porkie" - the breeder insisted she would most likely fall between 4-5 pounds and I kept saying this one is going to be one of those 15 pounders...mark my words everyone. Now at 1 1/2 she's 4 pounds 11 ounces and slender. Go figure. Thus I've ate crow on that one. Your dog probably has as good of chance as any to be 8 plus pounds with the father weighing in at 8.
