I've been on this site for about a good 2 months, and from what you described and everything I've learned.. your little Yorkie might have kennel cough. And with the whole eating situation, learning this from my breeder, she told me that a lot of Yorkies have problems eating when they get to their new homes because they are not comfortable with their new space and haven't gotten acquianted with yet. Probably, because they are stressed out from feeling out of place because they don't know where "home" is yet.
Don't take my word for it though, I am no doctor!
Kennel cough can be treated though, but usually I think that means that your Yorkie may have come from a puppymill because if Pet Company is a petstore (and with the name and the amount you paid for your dog, it sure seems like a petstore), than most likely your puppy came from the mill. Just take her to the vet and I'm sure she'll be okay! |
WOW that is a lot of difference (pricewise). If only I had known beforehand! Yes, Pet Company is a petstore here in NJ, not sure if it's in any other state.
mg: I can still return the dog to the petstore, since we have a 14 day return policy if the pet is sick(with kennel cough like you said), and she really seems sick right now. But even though we've only had her for 2 days, we are already so attached to her. We financed her, but I really want to save money as well so i really don't know what to do now? Can i really find a yorkie for sale from this message board for so much cheaper? please help me out. i really need guidance. thank you so much!
