Our Foster: Buddy I'm an avid Craigslist surfer, and I came across an ad today that scared me. It was an unneutered, male, 3-year-old yorkie whose family was looking to get rid of him asap. I could see what would happen to this poor boy, so I talked to DH and asked if we could get him and get him fixed and adopt him out. DH agreed, and I picked him up during my lunch break.
His owner said they had not had him long and had began to realize their son was allergic to him, and he had to go. She met me at a gas station and I took him home.
He is the sweetest little guy, and I cannot imagine why someone would want to rehome him. He gets along great with my dogs, ignores my cats and loves attention. I plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow to get his rabies shot updated and to get him scanned to see if he has a previous owner that is missing him.
It just seems odd to me that such a well behaved dog would be rehomed so often. I'm just happy I was able to get him before a greeder did. We are going to schedule his neuter tomorrow for asap. |
