I personally have not. My mother and sister did and yes they lost weight but put it right back on as soon as they came off the food. It is quite expensive and according to my mom and sister the food is aweful, dry and tastes like cardboard, and gave them aweful gas

The key is to change your lifestyle. Cut out all fast foods, white breads and flours, sodas, sugary sweets, and the likes. Eat lean proteins, veges, and low carb/sugar fruits. Drink lots of water and exercise at least 5 days a week. And this is for life, not for short term.
It is great that you and your S.O. both need and want to lose. Partner up on healthy meals and snacks, weigh in with each other weekly, and go to the gym together for life. Simple but true..
