To the OP - I wouldn't worry so much about the carrots as I would about the sodium in the canned carrots. Don't they have added salt as a preservative? I'd stick with fresh carrots for them.
I give Rocco a fresh baby carrot about once a day also. He's had as much as 3-4 in a day and it didn't affect his poops.
