Also, many dogs with allergies may be allergic to certain foods, and/or medications. Many have problems with vaccinations... or anything they come in contact with. Of course, some cases are simple, and may just involve monitoring, but you won't know until she's tested and grows up. Allergens can change as the dog matures, some have environmental allergies and have to spend most of their time indoors.
Many times, even when a medication is found that works, it may not work for a very long time. It's just not as easy as saying she has this, she needs to take med A for the rest of her life. Alot of trial and error is involved in keeping these dogs healthy and happy.
