I don't think it will give the runny poo but it will help with them going and it might be a little soft. I wouldn't worry about being up all night. You gave it to them along with their food so they have something else in their stomach.
The soup was delicious. We will usually each give them a treat (a small piece of whatever we have, usually the veggie or potato) after we have dinner because they lay in their beds that beside our table during our meals. We gave them a lima bean each and they both gobbled it up. I had a few leftover so I saved it gave it to them with their meals. While Hot Rod, I know, loved the bean regardless, them being cooked with ham probably had something to do with it.
