I know they switched to a lower protein food, but not sure which brands.
BTW, the all Maltese that had trouble were very well bred from show breeders with no underlying health issues.
We also have Maltese who have had no problem with Acana.
We had a few Maltese who had the same problem with Evo. Not only elevated kidney values, but several with high triglycerides and cholesterol. Of course, EVo has a very high fat content so that is no surprise.
As I said, just a heads up to be aware that
some toy breeds have had a problem with it.
