It was specifically Acana, both Pacifica and Grasslands, that the Maltese were eating when they developed elevated kidney values. One of them happened to be owned by a vet tech, too. Every one had normal bloodwork after their food was switched.
Just a heads up to make sure you get bloodwork done just in case your dog happens to be one of the ones who can't eat it.
